SONANO · ACCEPTABLE USE
Acceptable Use
Effective October 28, 2026. Public purchasing and downloads remain closed.
Scope
This policy applies to using Sonano to input, generate, convert or distribute text and audio, including the website and Mac App Store editions. Sonano is a local-first audio workspace. Purchasing Pro does not grant rights to another person's voice, works or identity.
Prohibited content and conduct
Do not use Sonano to generate or distribute:
- Pornographic or NSFW content, including pornographic audio, non-consensual sexualization, or fabricated audio depicting another person participating in sexual activity.
- Violent or gory content, including depictions of violence or gore, and content that incites or assists violence.
- Hate speech, including discrimination, degradation or incitement to violence against protected groups.
- Content that endangers children, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), child exploitation or abuse, and other material harmful to children's safety.
- Unauthorized or deceptive impersonation and deepfakes, including unauthorized imitation of a real person's voice, fabricated recordings presented as that person's own statements, or deliberate deception about identity, authorization or the authenticity of a source.
- Content that infringes others' rights, including text, voices or audio that infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other lawful rights.
Local processing and reports
Sonano does not provide a public content gallery. The website licensing service does not receive your local text, audio or works for routine scanning. We do not claim to review every local input or output in real time, and we cannot remotely delete files on your Mac.
To report suspected misuse, voice impersonation or a rights violation, contact support@sonano.app. Describe what happened and provide verifiable sources or public links, relevant rights or authorization evidence, and necessary order or license references if known. Provide only information needed for verification. Do not send passwords, verification codes, unlawful materials or unrelated personal information.
Verification, action and review
We assess verifiable information and rights or authorization evidence in reports, and may contact the parties involved for further information. An unverified allegation is not treated as an established violation. We do not promise comprehensive real-time scanning, a 24/7 moderation team or a fixed response deadline.
Where a violation is established, we may require the use to stop and restrict related online services within applicable law and our actual service capabilities. For website licenses, we may suspend further device activation, credential issuance and online renewal. Payment and refund facts are preserved; suspension is not a refund. Customers can still view their orders and manage or deactivate devices.
If you disagree with an action, request a review through the same support address and provide additional evidence. We will reassess the information. Where restoration is appropriate, it requires an explicit website-license operation and a retained action record. Restoration does not reverse a completed refund or reactivate devices that were deactivated; you may need to activate again.
Website device credentials support up to 14 days of offline use after successful online verification. A fully offline device cannot immediately receive suspension or refund status, and an issued credential may remain valid until expiry. Subsequent online verification or renewal checks the current license status. Suspension does not delete your existing local works or lock their playback, editing, saving or export.
Mac App Store purchases, restoration and refunds continue through Apple's channel. Website-license controls do not revoke Apple transactions or automatically unlock the other purchase channel. Matters requiring action by law are handled through applicable procedures.
